These 20 inch by 16 inch Linen Canvases from Global Art Supplies are entirely made by hand in Italy using traditional techniques and materials that have been sourced around the country. This standard of quality will give you an unrivalled painting experience along with a canvas you can depend on. Each of the 4 canvas included in this pack are made from 100% quality sourced Italian linen that features a medium grain of 316gsm. The linen will retain the oils natural to the fibres, this helps to preserve the flexibility and prevents the canvas becoming brittle.
The surface of this linen canvas is double primed with a high quality acrylic gesso that is perfect for oil and acrylic painting. If you would like more precision and control over your canvas and how the paints will react you can prime it yourself with a range of gesso's and primers for specific techniques. Each canvas has been hand stretched over quality wooden stretchers that have a depth of 18mm and give the surface the optimum level of tension whilst painting.
